Sell 2 Give 1

For every two wheelchairs we sell in the US and Canada, we donate one to someone in the developing world who can't afford to purchase one. Since March 2015 we are partnering with Global Mobility USA http://www.globalmobilityusa.org out of Los Angeles.  GMUSA provides fulfillment services out of their warehouse in Van Nuys California. The partnership with GMUSA, which regularly travels to developing countries to provide wheelchairs,  ensures that we can deliver the promised chairs and that they will be provided with the appropriate level of service to ensure the best fit for the rider.

The net profits from the sale of wheelchairs in the US and Canada are used to support Whirlwind's design work and our collaborative efforts with other organizations. These efforts will promote disability rights and the capacity of local disabled-run organizations in developing countries to run sustainable businesses either building or assembling wheelchairs, and to act as effective advocates for their disabled constituencies.
